I am currently working at ExaWizards to solve social issues by developing natural language processing and related AI technologies. Previously, I was an ML Engineer at SmartNews, where I developed NLP and retrieval technologies to understand news and user interests. I completed my PhD (+postdoc) at Tokyo Institute of Technology under Prof. Takenobu Tokunaga and Prof. Simone Teufel, where we developed an EdTech AI to enable EFL students write more coherent argumentative essays in English. My PhD thesis received several awards.
